Raised in the small outback-mining town of Kalgoorlie, Western Australia, Teisha trained to become a professional ballet dancer before she was a model - scouted at the tender age of 18. After competing in the national Girlfriend Magazine model search, Teisha’s modeling career saw her become the face of a number of high profile international and national advertising campaigns, including Volkswagen, Tourism Victoria and Triumph Lingerie.
With maturity, Teisha is passionate about promoting humanitarian causes including campaigns for the Borneo Orangutan Survival Foundation, deforestation for the use of Palm Oil and disaster relief in Australia. Her environmental efforts have been recognized by numerous publications including The Age, InStyle Magazine, Green Magazine & Wellbeing Magazine just to name a few.
Lowry’s passion for drama began at the age of four where she appeared in many musicals and plays as a professional dancer and graduating at the age of 18 with her diploma of Dance. Around that time, a model agent scouted her and this lead to an extensive career as a highly sort-after model enabling her to appear in many domestic and international television commercials. She made her first feature film debut in the Bollywood blockbuster “Salaam Namaste” that sparked her interest in film.
Lowry went on to study television and broadcasting which helped her secure a co-host position on Channel 9’s “The Boat Show”. She then went on to study at the Sydney Actor’s Studio and later at the Melbourne Actor’s Lab and 16th Street Actor’s Studio, which to this day she continues to hone her craft. Recently, Lowry’s lead role in the short film “Adrift” was an official selection at the LA Indie Film Festival and the Innovative Film Festival, Tampa Florida.
Teisha has certainly proven herself as a savvy businesswoman, establishing her own company INDAH in 2008, which is now recognised globally as a favorite organic health and beauty brand.
In 2014 Teisha and her husband Darren Cox opened doors to one of Melbourne's most unique Holistic Health & Wellbeing centres, called TOTAL REFORMATION, with their second studio recently opened in Hamilton, Victoria. Training from the worldly recognized C.H.E.K Institute as a Holistic Lifestyle Coach, Teisha also qualifies as a Personal Trainer, Aromatherapist, and Natural Therapist specialising in Clinical Nutrition and Herbal Therapy.
